Women Desire to Choose Life
We already knew this but recently more research has come out to support what our clients at LIFE CHOICES Rowan have told us. They don’t want to have an abortion but believe they have no other option.
Recently an important peer-reviewed study was released indicating that nearly 70 percent of post abortive women described their abortion choice as inconsistent with their own values and preferences, and about ¼ of the women indicated that their abortions were coerced or unwanted.
The research titled “The Effects of Abortion Decision Rightness and Decision Type on Women’s Satisfaction and Mental Health,” reports that financial insecurity and the perceived lack of support contributes highly to abortion decisions. (Reardon D C, Rafferty K A, Longbons T (May 11, 2023) The Effects of Abortion Decision Rightness and Decision Type on Women’s Satisfaction and Mental Health. Cureus 15(5): e38882.
David Reardon, the director of the Elliot Institute and lead author of the study says that “This study confirms earlier findings regarding the epidemic of unwanted abortions in America”. Check out the Lozier Institute article here.
